STUDENT MATINEES

Student Matinees are specially designed, low-cost morning performances for K-12 students that nurture an appreciation for the arts. In addition, participating schools take campus tours that introduce future college students to the vast array of opportunities UCSD has to offer.

Student matinee reservations must be made in advance. For detailed information about the performances, scholarships, study guides, and how your child’s school can participate next season, please contact Brian Schaefer (858.534.0499 / blschaefer@ucsd.edu).

Study Guides
In-depth study guides are researched and written by ArtPower! Staff, in consultation with artists and teachers, to provide students an informative accompaniment to the Student Matinees.

CAMPUS

Master Classes

Internationally acclaimed dancers, choreographers and musicians share their expertise and talents with students in classes that foster and encourage their skills and help hone their abilities.

Concerts in Close Quarters
ArtPower! takes artists and music directly to students in the Residence Halls for intimate, engaging and informal encounters that spark active listening and lively conversation.

Lectures/Demonstrations
Artists visit classrooms, student lounges, dorms, cafés, and club meetings to connect with students and the community in less formal settings that encourage dialogue and opportunities for learning.
